Balance & Dizziness

About This Care

Dizziness, vertigo, and unsteadiness are frightening symptoms that affect daily life profoundly — and they're much more common than people realize, especially after concussion, motor vehicle accidents, ear infections, and in older adults.

The good news: most causes of dizziness respond exceptionally well to vestibular rehabilitation, a specialized form of physiotherapy with strong scientific evidence behind it.

Our vestibular rehabilitation team includes physiotherapists with advanced training in vestibular disorders. We perform thorough assessments and apply specific, evidence-based treatments that produce real, often dramatic, results.

Conditions We Treat

  • BPPV (positional vertigo)
  • Vestibular neuritis
  • Post-concussion dizziness
  • Cervicogenic dizziness
  • Persistent postural-perceptual dizziness
  • Vestibular migraine
  • Age-related balance loss
  • Ménière's disease
  • Acoustic neuroma recovery
  • Multi-sensory imbalance

Our Approach

We use canalith repositioning maneuvers (Epley, Semont, Gufoni) for BPPV — the gold standard, often resolving symptoms within 1-2 visits. For other conditions, we use gaze stabilization exercises, habituation exercises, and progressive balance and gait training.

Treatment is carefully calibrated to your specific condition. Many patients see dramatic improvement within a few weeks of starting an appropriate vestibular program.
