Functional Abilities Evaluation

About This Assessment

A Functional Abilities Evaluation (FAE) is a comprehensive, performance-based assessment that objectively measures how an injured person's body actually performs across the physical demands of work and daily life.

Unlike subjective interviews, an FAE captures real performance through validated, time-tested protocols (Matheson, ErgoScience, and Blankenship systems). Conducted by experienced Occupational Therapists, Kinesiologists, and Physiotherapists trained in FAE methodology.

Our evaluations span 4 to 6 hours over one or two days, with validated effort assessment, pain monitoring, and cardiovascular response monitoring throughout.
